   General Scope

The 2011 CAC winter school provides a series of introductory level lectures on the current parallel computing languages and the state-of-the-art parallel technologies. The school consists of two parts. The first part is a series of lectures on three parallel computing languages, OpenMP, MPI, and CUDA, which are now and will be the most dominant tools for parallel computation. The second part is composed of several talks on how to optimize the codes, the Cloud computing for scientific research, building a special-purpose hardware for scientific calculations, and building a linux cluster in a small laboratory. We hope that the researchers may get a strong motivation for parallel computing techniques in their research areas. This winter school is prepared specially for senior researchers.
